Oh yes, I am
And I’m back too. Thanks to everyone checking up on me and emailing. It’s so heartwarming
Sorry for disappearing on everyone. I didn’t really as I kept meaning to blog. But you know how it is!
Teeni, being the sweet friend she is, has awarded me this. She is such a darling anyway so it was a huge bonus to given this by her.
I was over-the-moon to receive this. So, thank you sweetie-pie! You must pop over and see Teeni. She has such a lovely, friendly blog.
Life is getting busier by the day but I’m loving all of it. I’ve started to really look at our life-style and making some changes–slowly, but surely, so we can adapt easier. I no longer buy bread, pre-made food like sandwiches, sausage rolls and the like. And I’ve made the decision to get some chickens once our house and garden has been renovated. I have an egg intolerance and can only eat organic eggs. I think it’s the feed that the chickens are given that I’m intolerant to. At £2 for half a dozen it just isn’t making sense. We have committed to only using the car for longer journeys and I aim to recycle everything I possibly can. By the end of the year, my goal to put out only one small bag a week for refuse. I’ve been taking a serious look at our diet as family and making small changes there too. I’m rather proud of the the fact that within two years, we recycle all our paper, cardboard and plastic where we can. We don’t waste food either as use left-overs where possible. And I’ve been composting for years. Next stop is to get a wormery so we can add stuff to the wormery that we can’t put on the compost heap.
The allotments are going well too. We have prepared the ground ready for planting within the next couple of weeks.
We’re coming up to spring and it’s planting time:
Life in general is good. We’ve adopted my step-daughter’s cat and taken in a stray so we are being kept on our toes around here. Everyone around here thinks I’m slightly eccentric but who cares? I’m having fun
Oh Di your life just sounds fabby.
I can’t wait to have a house and a little veggie patch/allotment and to be able to recycle more easily once out of this godforsaken place (lol).
I have all these ideas stored in my head for that time when we move =)
I went to my local asda last week and found that you now have to ask for bags to pack your shopping away in. Which is refreshing but would be much more better in my eyes if they charged. So I now have 3 big organic bags instead for my shopping and a bunch of saved grocery bags that will be re-used.
Slowly but surely I’m doing my bit!
you are certainly an inspiration Mrs Day =) xx

Oh, you are most deserving and most welcome for your award! I’m so glad you were pleased to get it! Wow – lots of great things are happening for you. I’m so inspired by your healthy plans, your healthy diets, and your gardening/recycling/composting! I’m so glad to have you as a friend and I bet the earth is too!
I am going to be looking more into composting and wormeries thanks to you!
