Everyone is still not well.
One day it’s Harry, then it’s me, then it’s Joe. The boys have been off school three times in two weeks. Joe is off school today. It’s one of those viruses which you can feel fine after a couple of days, then feel awful, then feel okay, then feel awful again…and it goes on.
I’m starting to suffer from cabin fever. Seriously!
My poor boys – a few dr’s visits and only to be told ‘it’s just a virus’. Well yeah, but what do you do when you’ve tried everything – calpol, sponging down to bring down temperature, ice-cream for sore throats, lots of TLC and buying out the pharmacist??
Of course none of us are sleeping properly so that doesn’t help at all.
On the good side; John and myself went to see my boy, Joe, in a big performance with school at the local community centre. Poor Joe really wasn’t up to it but I gave him all the medicine I could give him safely to get him through it. They’d been working on it for months.
It was fantastic! Joe was in the first scene in a lead part. I sniffed back the tears. Then I blubbed when he took his bow. Then I wailed at the closing number, then I was a complete mess by the time the headmaster gave a speech at the end to say how proud he was of them all. I’m so proud of my boy!! He did so well. As they all did. It’s his final year at primary school.
*sniff*
Be back soon I promise. I am missing visiting everyone!
Awww. Congrats to your boy for his leading role! And congrats to you for “almost” holding it together. LOL. Hope you are all on the mend and back to yourselves soon! Hugs to you!
